Pedro Santos Figueira was born in 1979 in Lisbon. He holds a degree in Composition from Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa (2003), were he worked with the composers Sérgio Azevedo, Luís Tinoco, Christopher Bochmann, António Pinho Vargas. He also studied at Escola de Musica do Conservatorio Nacional de Lisboa, were he had recorder lessons from Catarina Latino. He took private lessons in orchestral conducting with Andre Presser in The Hague. In 2008 he finished his Studies in Orchestral Conducting with Lucas Vis at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam.
In his time in the Netherlands he organised and conducted the CREA Orkest (Amsterdam), the Leidenhoven Klein Koor (Amsterdam) and various instrumental and vocal ensambles and music projects.
Since 2008 Pedro Santos Figueira lives in Austria, where he conducted several Choirs, Ensembles and Orchestras, such as: H7 Chor, Pulchra Maria Chor, Chor Cantus Carnuntum, Jakobus Kirchenchor, the Chorgemeinschaft Berndorf-Veitsau, Chor Cantate Nova, Vocal Ensemble Mödling, Lutherchor NÖ and the Symphonic Orchestra of Mödling (Mödlinger Symphonisches Orchester, MSO) among others.
At the moment, he is the conductor of the Gospel Choir „VOICE, REJOICE!“, the Choir Chor Quodlibet Bisamberg, the PFW – Brassband Wien and also works as a conductor with the orchestra „Concentus21“ in Vienna.
He is the artistic director and conductor of Spiritus Luminis.

His composition „Qui habitat in adjutorio Altissimi“ has been premiered in St. Stephan’s Cathedral in Vienna by the Stephansdom Vokalensemble and was broadcastet by the Radio Klassik.
